Reader’s Choice 2012- Don’t Forget to Vote
July 18th, 2012 by James L. Sweaney, CGA, FGA. GGThe Press Enterprise Reader’s Choice voting is going on NOW! You have until August 1 to cast your ballot, naming your favorite businesses and services in Riverside and the Inland Empire. By showing your support for locally owned and operated businesses, you are helping the businesses that are unique to our community survive– it’s important!
A very small independent business like Mardon must compete with large retail chains like Ben Bridge and Zales, with discount warehouses like Sam’s and Costco, and with the Jewelry Mart vendors who claim to sell “wholesale” to the public.
We compete by offering better value — we refuse to sell price point and low quality mass market merchandise just because the price is attractive. We believe, as Aldo Gucci, the famous Italian fashion designer, said in 1938 “The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory”
So we’re asking for your vote. The Press Enterprise is publishing ballots in the Sunday paper that you can mail in, or better yet, you can vote online RIGHT NOW at ww.pe.com/readerschoice/
