A New Member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers

June 20th, 2012 by James L. Sweaney, CGA, FGA. GG

I’m proud to announce my membership with the prestigious National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA). NAJA is a dynamic organization that focuses on the development of professional jewelry appraising thru advanced professional education and training as well as promoting high ethical standards. Their mission dovetails well with our longstanding relationship with the Gemological Institute of America and the Americian Gem Society.

NAJA is a goldmine of information about jewelry and jewelry appraising, with affiliations with the Auction Market Resource, the Antique Jewelry University, RAPNET Diamond Trading Network, and Watch Certification Services. Other invaluable resources include the NAJA newsletter, a net group chatline and of course, the network of members, all of whom are dedicated to the sharing of information and to the best practices in jewelry appraising. Next year, we hope to attend the NAJA 39th Winter Conference during the Tucson Gem Show.

We especially like the Client’s Bill of Rights, an innovative way that lets our clients know up-front what to expect from a professional appraiser.

We offer full service jewelry appraising, including verbal consultations as well as written documents. Give us a call at 951 682-2325 — We’ll be happy to discuss your needs. Our hours are Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 am-5:30 PM Pacific.
